Since 2015, the renovated King's Path has been open to the public again and guarantees a hike at altitude with breathtaking views. An hour's drive from Malaga a must on a tour of Andalusia!
It was announced this month that the Caminito del Rey will be expanded and it is expected that next year the total route will be about 14 kilometers, doubling the current path.
Useful to know:
- minimum age 8 years.
- good shoes on, beach slippers etc. not allowed.
- bring a bottle of water, the hike takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Park the camper at the Campsite (Parque Ardales) or buy a parking ticket at the campsite.
- starting point is at El Kiosko, also a good address for tapas (alternative El mirador with nice view and favorably priced menu).
- always buy entrance tickets well in advance (if you can't make it please send us an email).
