This route takes you along the Alpujarra de Granada, the fertile southern side of the Sierra Nevada. It takes you through green hills, past beautiful white villages like Pampaneira and Bubion and the highest mountain village in the area: Trevelez. Along the way, you will encounter several wineries where the local wine from this area can be tasted. Via the rugged bays of Cabo de Gata we continue our way towards Antequera for delicious tapas and 'porra', the softer variant of gazpacho. Attractive Jerez forms the sherry triangle with village-like Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa Maria. These three places are full of bodegas that can be visited.

Tip: There is an excellent RV park in Sanlúcar. For the most beautiful sunset, go to Sanlucar de Barrameda beach and then enjoy tortilla de camarones and other delicious tapas food in the town square!
