The coast is an hour and a half away so you can combine your trip with an itinerary to the Costa Tropical or a visit to Granada with its imposing Moorish Alhambra or a tour of the white villages of the Alpujarras, the fertile southern side of the Sierra Nevada.

This popular route takes you past beautiful white villages such as Pampaneira and Capileira as well as a number of bodegas and wine producing areas. Most of the bodegas can be visited and you can often taste the delicious wines produced in this area.
