Madrid - Avila - Salamanca - Porto - Nazare - Lisbon - Seville - Malaga or Madrid

From Madrid, travel to Spain's highest provincial capital, Avila. This beautiful city has a medieval appearance and is surrounded by city walls. The pleasant university town of Salamanca is the center of Renaissance architecture. Visit the old center with their 2 imposing cathedrals and one of the largest squares in Spain the 18th century Plaza Mayor.

From Salamanca, it goes through the beautiful Portuguese town of Guarda to Porto. Porto, center of the wine trade and also the main industrial center of the country. The attractive old center on the Douro River is well worth a visit and has many sights and nice places.

Along the coast south through beautiful towns like Aveiro, Mira and Figuera da Foz. We arrive at Nazaré a picturesque fishing town where you can visit the fish auction and eat delicious sardines and other fish.

Through Lisbon back to Spain to Seville. Seville is considered by many to be the most beautiful city in the South. The Jewish quarter, the Giralda Cathedral, the beautiful parks, it is too much to mention. From Seville you can return to Malaga (about 2 hours away) or to Madrid via Cordoba (about 6 hours).
