Route 5 – Southeast Spain – 7 days

Malaga – Cordoba – Cazalla de la Sierra – Sevilla – Jerez – Conil – Tarifa – Marbella – Malaga

From Malaga we take the Antequera road on our way to the old city Cordoba.

Cordoba is worth a visit. Do not forget to visit the mosque in the city centre. The Jewish quarter is situated next to the mosque and is worth a visit. You will find lost of shops and small restaurants in this area. Very close to the mosque you can pay a visit to the Arab baths and have an afternoon of relax. The price includes several hot/warm baths, swimming pool and massage.

We will take the rural roads to the province of Seville. Cazalla de la Sierra is a small rural village close to the Sierra Morena and Extremadura and a good starting point for trips.

We pass Seville for a visit and continue towards the wine centre of the province of Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera and Sanlucar de Barrameda. If you like you can take a boat excursion form Sanlucar to see the surroundings of the National Park El Coto Doñana.

The coastal area, called Costa de la Luz offers the best beaches and many typical small villages like Conil, Zahara de los Atunes and Tarifa.

For some contrast we will visit Marbella and its harbour Puerto Banus before we come back in Malaga.
