In January 2015, I decided to travel with a campervan for a week through the province of Andalusia. I had never driven a motorhome before but it seemed a great thing to do.
Our wifes decided not to join so together with my friend Jan we flew on the 23 April 2015 to Malaga (7:00 am) and rented a motorhome (Hymer Carado T 348) with Frank Ooms the owner of Spanjecamper rentasl (www. spanjecamper.com).
We had agreed by mail that Frank would be at the airport with the Camper. It was a fantastic motorhome. As good as new, equipped with all comforts. We only rented bicycles and a camping table with chairs.
The driving was easy and felt light and after half an hour you did not know better or you had driven it for years.
The same day we drove to Ronda. The next day to Cadiz then off to the national park Doñana to the south-west of Seville. We booked an excursion for the next day.
I saw beautiful birds and my friend Jan was in the clouds to see bee-eaters.
Then drove to Cordoba and stood near the center with the motorhome. Great place because that is 5 minutes walk from the old town.
Then we drove to Granada where we found a beautiful campsite near a dam on the advice of Frank.
The last day (7th) towards Malaga airport to hand over the motorhome to Frankwho was already waiting for us (17.30)
A wonderful week with good weather and a nice motorhome that was well equipped. (Tom-Tom, nice chairs and good beds)
Highly recommended for those who want to make a tour of Andalusia or Spain!
